Camp Chick will be offering four Diocesan Youth Camp Programs this coming summer!
Intermediate Camp is for 9-12 year olds. The session theme is still undetermined but the program includes time for Christian Formation plus a wide variety of traditional camp activities, eg; arts & crafts, sports, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, music, nature activities, teambuilding exercises, campfires, all camp evening activities and more! Intermediate Camp will take place from June 29th thru July 4th, 2008.
Jr. High’s program, (for 12-14 year olds), will center around the theme “Survivor”Camp Chick Style”. Jr. High Camp is scheduled for July 6th - 12th, 2008.
Sr.High, (for 14-17 year old campers), will explore the popular Peer Ministry program published by the Youth & Family Institute. This session will also take place in the second week of July.
This year, we also offer “Counselor-in-Training” or “CIT” camp again after a one year hiatus. CIT participants should be 16 or 17 years of age. CIT will take place during Intermediate Camp in the first week of July.
All three camp programs, for older youth, include opportunities to explore traditional camp activities mentioned above. New this year, though, we also plan, for those who are strong enough swimmers, TUBING to Camper’s Choice activities as well.
Watch for Diocesan Youth Camp Brochures sometime in February!
