REGISTER FOR CAMP

The Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes offers transformative programming experiences at Camp Chickagami (Presque Isle) and Stony Lake Camp (New Era) for young people, families, and adults.

You and your family are welcome here.
As an Episcopal camp program, we strive to be a brave space where all campers belong. We celebrate and affirm diverse backgrounds, identities, beliefs, abilities, and family structures. We're also committed to removing barriers to access. Through generous partnerships with the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan and funding from the Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes, we provide free, safe, accessible transportation for each camp session.

Tiered pricing for this program begins at $300. Scholarships available.

Imagine spending a weekend working on a fiber project you love—knitting, weaving, embroidery, felting, whatever calls to you—surrounded by people doing the same. No judgment. No performance. Just hands working, minds quieting, and souls settling into something deeper.

Throughout the weekend, you'll gather with other fiber artists for group reflection around themes that matter. You'll share meals together, laugh together, work alongside each other. On Saturday, there's an optional trip to the Alpena Fiber Festival—a chance to be inspired, connect with the broader fiber arts community, or simply enjoy free time however you wish.

It's contemplative without being silent. Social without being performative. Creative without being instructional. It's about your work, your pace, your process. And it's wrapped in a faith context that honors the sacred work of creating with your hands.

Additional information about registration, program structure, what's included, staffing & safety, making camp accessible, scholarships, inclusion, draft schedules, and an in-depth FAQ can be found on our website.

We hire a team of about 25 camp counselors each summer and are always looking to expand our team!

If you or someone you know is interested in working at camp this summer, we would welcome your application! If you have previously volunteered or worked with Camp Chickagami or Episcopal Youth Camp, we would love to have a conversation about you coming back to camp this summer without needing to make a full-summer commitment. All of our camp counselors are paid staff, unless they choose to volunteer their time.
